"If you talk to the
animals they will talk to you and you will know each other. If you
do not talk to them, you will not know them. What you do not know,
you will fear. What one fears, one destroys." Chief Dan George 562.434.0141 - 379 Newport Ave Ste. 302 Long Beach, CA90814 |

Recently, AWRE was presented this baby Gull. The finder stated they found it in their fireplace. No nest was found in the chimney so they decided to bring this baby to us. This baby Gull was healthy, quite hungry and has the “New York Bad Ass” attitude typical of Gulls. At this time, he’s gobbling down Squid and getting bigger and stronger. In order to be able to release this baby, we have to maintain all human contact to a minimum. It is so very important that we teach this baby that humans are neither friends nor a food source, giving it the best chance to survive as a real, wild Gull once released and not just a “dock jockey” that hangs out begging for food.
